Summer was always your favourite time

walking hand in hand sand and sea

blissfully discarding easy footprints

Traces…

given to the earth freely

Moments made and captured in memories

of all our living days of raptured thought

unspoken love of shared dreams and

Promises to be

as we slept entwined in

Rustled creased and disentangled

sheets of love laid bare

alive within dreams and life that flowed

Breathed life and lived again

into tomorrow’s sky..

So easily

we spoke of all creation

while the sun rose and set again

On our love

until the temporary illusion of time was shattered

by the mechanical tick tock

time running out

Dissolving eroding from the inside

melting away in shattering rebounding jarring silence

Our vivid sky trickling and pouring down

onto our laps

where our eyes settled and closed

Until you took my hand again

and smiled…

And that is why You are brave to me

why your hand is still in mine

why your heart is with me

and we are still there chatting on that bench

sitting in the light of our days…

because you chose to let go

On a beautiful summers day

when all the world and the fresh blue living sky

Was singing and laughing…

Transmutation

Life is an avoidance of self
of who and what we are
a running away from the inevitable
that everything changes
All must End
all Withers…
towards the Centre
and that we die
and yet in dying
We become..
become again fully part of who
and all we are
or ever were
we are at once fully Alive…

We are all other..
all Outsiders
all migrants
within our modern constructs
and concepts
of borders and culture..
of who and what we are
Within our native lands
we are as One..

Blue black sky-starry night twinkles over silver sea
pathway to the past and the land of our time
fishermen and fishwives shelter in the lashing dreich
Sparkling towers in the main street echo beauty sunlit or wintry rain
mychty men quarried our silver city dug deep and built it up
on the pieces bright glances and rowie’s their quines gave to them each morning
Atop o’ a building looking at the view ahead Twa towns
clear skies over squabbling gulls swirling chasing fishing boats home
children racing flying kites at the beach boaties in the distance
Twa rivers merge into ice cold water deep grey restless sea of endless storms
gave us life and brings us death – here communities are born.

The Disconnect

I have no fear of change
only of the disconnect
The gaps in between
Falling through
Lost in space and time
Leaving you behind
erasing eradicating
deconstructing
Plural me
discontinued
shelf life
Singular morn..

Hollow

Hollow

Our house was cold…hollow of sound

every day returning to the emptiness

flicking the switch to light the dust

of your abandoned world

hoping to find you waiting

walking from absent room to room

ever missing

ever lacking

negligent of all that marriage should be

inwardly distancing myself from you

As far as I could go

retreating

coiling back within myself

the past unborn/ as our future

and every pitch black hollow night

returning with excuses

told to unhearing ears

as we undressed unfacing each other

turning away as the lights went out

I grew to unlove you

and your empty sounds

lies spoken through smug smiles

talking to me as if I was a child

unappeasing me

filling the hollow air with promises never to be

but I knew

knew what you were/ where you were/ were not

closed the door

left you to your abandoned life

our empty house of hollow sound

echo’s silencing from room to room

and the darkening night of your void

Deeply Within

Deeply within….
You are inside me/ you are me
see me/surround me…
You are my very being

My every breath unspoken
My sweetest thought
My gentlest dream…
My softest whisper….blowing

You are life unending…
All encompassing/disrobing/untangling/Flowing
Wash over me and make me whole

You understand me..feel me
Astound me/ See me
Surround me, so deeply within

You are Light, and touch, and caressing laughter
The everafter love
And I tremble so deeply within

The Voice

IMG-026

I am mystery
I am darkness
I am calling you..
I am echoing
I am silence
I am the lost inside of you..
I am memory
I am doubt
I am fear
And all your loss..
I am winning
I am calling
I am peace
I am the voice

Love returned

Standard

IMG_1597 (3)444

Do you come to me..
do you run to me..
do you love me

every turn your head makes from me
every empty silent word
all that is said about nothing
Pridefully avoiding ourselves and each other
suppressed in smothering silence
choking the blue/black chilled air
surrounding our fears
hiding from the reality though it faces us
And we awake to it each morning

But it is there
dead long ago..
left to fester now in
the shadow of all we were
in the dust of our memories
that once cast beauty and connected light
through our tender love
encompassing all
The brightest of both our pasts
undying love in thought and time
Visited no more
grown tired in the waiting room

All is ever/ all is present/ all is truth
All is let go
and I will run from you
because I love you
And return to me.

New Dawn / Dàn nuadh

DSC_0091_tonemapped

Never together
never one whole
beginnings in obliteration
power out of control
Suppression of a people
ignorance of who we are
arrogance in power
Weak from where we are

Change is tumbling forward
rumbling through the mist
rolling on the horizon
through the consciousness
Change will end their arrogance
Time is running out

They will be redundant
simply cease to be
drowned in their lack of vision
that will be their destiny

Change is tumbling forward
rumbling through all time
Our dawn is now
Our light will ever shine
